Eric has been serving at this Church since September of 2018. He began as the Youth Pastor and has since transitioned into the Lead Pastor position earlier this year. Eric graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Ozark Christian College. During his time in school, he was an active part of the church he attended in Vienna, Illinois. He has preached through Pulpit Supply all over the Southern Illinois area. He is married to Heidi, a special education teacher, and they have one daughter, Clara. Eric loves to share the Gospel with others. He has a passion for missions and has spent time in several countries throughout his ministry. The thing he enjoys most is spending time with his family. He loves hunting and fishing, riding four wheelers, hiking, and playing golf. He also enjoys playing and coaching his daughter in soccer and basketball. He loves reading and studying theology and listening to other pastors preach the word of God. He is excited to see how God is at work here at the First Christian Church of Herrin, and he looks forward to leading and teaching the members and those who attend this Church. His greatest passion is to share the love of Jesus with everyone he can, and to watch the Holy Spirit work by changing hearts and building faith.
