Hello, congregation, I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new pastor here at First Christian Church. My family and I have called Herrin home since 2019, and it’s a blessing to have this opportunity to minister in my hometown.
I graduated from Lincoln Christian College in 2006 and have spent the last 20 years serving as a youth or preaching minister. I love sports-especially football, basketball, baseball, and weightlifting—and I’m a big-time Chicago Bears fan. Most of my free time is spent with my wife of 20 years Leslie, and our daughters, Abigail and Charlotte. Together, we enjoy movies,video games, board games, and all sorts of outdoor adventures like swimming, hiking, fishing, and trips to the beach.
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 3:10-11- I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
